Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Embox, an email client operated by Vogel (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Embox, you agree to them.
The service
Embox lets you connect email accounts you own or are authorized to use, and read, organize and send mail from them. Features may change as Embox develops, and some may be offered as previews.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Tell us promptly at ryan@vogel.dev if you think your account has been compromised.
Your content
Your mail and data remain yours. You give us permission to access, store and process them only as needed to provide Embox to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Embox to send spam or unlawful content, to access accounts you aren’t authorized to use, to disrupt or probe the service or its users, or to break any law or the terms of your mail provider.
Third-party services
When you connect Gmail, iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo or another provider, your use of that provider remains subject to its own terms. We aren’t responsible for their services, outages or changes.
Disclaimers
Embox is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep it reliable and your data safe, but we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that mail will always sync or send.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Embox. Our total liability for any claim relating to Embox is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven’t paid us.
Ending your use
You can stop using Embox and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or its users at risk.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in Embox or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Embox means you accept the updated terms.
